But it's about 5 powerful habits that will change your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Wake up Early! &lt;/span&gt;- This is my favorite tip out of the five. I started doing this, while on spring break, and I have accomplished so much work. Waking up early is a great way for time management. When you wake up early you can get 2-3 more hours of work done. And because you wake up early you must sleep early too. And this is great for your health too!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Eat Healthy, and Exercise. &lt;/span&gt;- Though a completely obvious habit. Eating right, and getting your heart racing is really an important part of improving your well-being.&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://s3.hubimg.com/u/1795946_f520.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 274px; height: 239px;" src="http://s3.hubimg.com/u/1795946_f520.jpg" alt="" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Read a book a week &lt;/span&gt;- If you want to learn more and succeed more in your field of study or what to learn something new. One should try to read a book a week. And though, it may not be plausible at first, over time you get faster at reading. I personally think this is a great idea, because I haven't really had the time to read, and I am starting to get back into reading.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Work one hour a day &lt;/span&gt;- Oscar doesn't mean actual work as in your job, but working on your goals. For example, I want to make this blog a lot better, so I will try to start working an hour on my blog each day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Embrace simplicity &lt;/span&gt;- "Identify those few things and tasks that provide the highest results and enjoyment in your life, you can work more on them and discard all the remaining stuff." I couldn't have said it any better than he did. I feel that a lot of times people get caught up in life and they really just have to eliminate all the unnecessary crap.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And creating new habits really does take your time. But I swear it is going to change. I'm working on making this blog much better. I've definitely been really busy with my junior year in college. It is getting so hectic and crazy since we only have one more year left before graduation and its a horrifying and exhilarating at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways back to the main point of this post: ZUMBA!  My school offers Zumba on Monday and Friday. And so far I have consistently followed up on my word about exercising more this year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Zumba, is basically a dance class with Latin flavor. It is so much fun, and the music is very upbeat and always entertaining. By no means can I dance, because I am off by a lot sometimes.. School is starting on Monday, and I'm excited to start my semester. I have many goals that I want to accomplish this semester. And to make my dreams more of a solid, and tangible thing to touch. I was inspired by Jim Rohn to make a dream box.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A dream box is basically a box, or jar, or canister, that can hold your dreams. It's so simple to do. You write down your dreams, and goals, and aspirations that you want on pieces of paper and put it in the jar. Your goals and dreams can range from something small like reading a book, or traveling to Japan. You take a jar, and cut out pictures that you like or inspire you. I'm using an Herbalife shake canister, and cutouts from a travel magazine. And I just taped them on, so its really quick and easy. Down below is my finished dream jar. I get especially stressed when I go back to school. And since I have about a week left before I return. I should probably figure out some ways to deal with stress. I don't necessarily deal with my stress, it's more like I get freaked out and super frustrated and yet I continue to do work. So I basically work myself up, and stress myself out to be perfect. Therefore I'm trying not to do that this year. lol.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To combat this I'm going to start exercising on a weekly basis. And journal on a more consistant basis. These are my main methods of coping with stress. And also trying to procrastinate less. Also getting sufficient sleep helps A LOT! So get sleep, procrastinate less, and exercise and write stressful things down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And even though, the title of this post is stressed is desserts spelled backwards. I don't necessarily find that, that is the best solution to stress. But I'm really excited for 2010. For some reason, I have a really good feeling about this coming year. I just know its going to be a great and wonderful year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And as usual, it wouldn't be a new year without any resolutions. So here are a few of mine: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Follow this: &lt;span&gt;1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive. 2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen. 3. Live simply and appreciate what you have. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less. (This is something that I've tried and tried to do, but i feel that it should take more importance in my life more than ever.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;Learning to let go, and being ok with everything, and not being in control all the time. And rolling w/ the punches.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;Work harder than I've ever worked. Be above and beyond. But don't kill myself over it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;Don't expect perfection because there is no such thing.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;Be the best Herbalife independent distributor, Talk to everyone about it, Grow my business!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;A lot of my resolutions this year are about bettering myself and accepting myself for the person I am. My secondary goal is also about Herbalife. I feel Herbalife is the life plan that I have been given. Helping people with these products and helping the world become a healthier place. Even though I'm in my third year of college, Herbalife will be one of my priorities from now on. Dragon Roll's from Harris Teeter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been an absolute sushi fiend, eating sushi at least once every week or more almost. Sushi is just so delicious, I guess I'm making up for the years that I didn't eat raw sushi.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Because I'm so obsessed with sushi, I decided to do some research to see how healthy sushi is.  And even though sushi is a pretty healthy alternative.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;"Three or four rolls, like California rolls, or if you have shrimp tempura roll or rainbow roll or anything like that, each roll would be 400 to 500 calories," said Mike Levinson, dietitian. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="font-style: italic;"&gt; Of course every sushi house makes rolls according to their own recipe, but it isn't uncommon to get a roll with that many calories as a rule of thumb. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="font-style: italic;"&gt; Levinson says people assume eating anything with fish is like a getting a free pass. Wrong. Each roll contains about a half-cup of rice, so if you have three - do the math. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="font-style: italic;"&gt; True: fish is low-cal and protein-packed, but with thick sauces found in popular dynamite and rainbow rolls or mayonnaise in spicy tuna rolls, you've got high-cal extras. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt; For example, cooked crab California rolls and spicy tuna rolls average 350 calories, while soft shell crab spider rolls, and shrimp tempura elevate calories to around 500. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But if you eat sushi with none of the fancy sauces in it, and with a little bit of rice. Sushi really can be a healthy alternative that you can eat once in a while. It's especially important to find a clean and fresh sushi restuarant to avoid mercury poisoning and bacteria.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;Ah, this post is seriously making me crave sushi. Even though its mostly April showers, and a lot of crazy weather changing, its really really nice! I have been really great. I went on a walk yesterday on a trail since the weather was so lovely. And today i played volleyball. And tomorrow I'm going to play some other sort of sport or exercise, but I don't know what yet. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;School has been.. going slowly.. but I am closely finishing up my second year of college! Working on a religion paper: about theravada and mahyana buddhism and their views on the ecological issues of today's society. Its really interesting, I think more than ever, I do not have a religion but more of a spirituality of sorts. I enjoyed it because I felt a lot better physically. I had more energy and I could function pretty well through the day. Unfortunately, i'm on campus right now, and I don't have a scale so i'm not sure how much weight i've lost. I'll try to borrow my friends tonight or something. Lately I haven't been doing much. I drank so much water i had like 20 water bottles sprawled out on my table. Its really yummy! I just finished drinking one for dinner. Ok so im gunna do a bit of predicting. I think one of the most difficult parts about this diet at college thing. Is the sheer fact that the taste and "goodness" of the foods change so much.. that I won't eat enough for lunch. And that is a problem because my plan is to have two meal-replacement shakes for a meal and a good balanced lunch! I think it will be great because I am also dieting w/ my friend Linh! She is also using Herbalife products. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;Hopefully, this week will be calm and such. I'm really hoping that I finish and get an A on one of my big fashion industry projects! I have been working my butt off for it and I just hope my hardwork pays off. And I have an exam on Friday. But if you drink more coffee, tea, or sodas with caffeine then you need to drink even more water because they take water away from your body. I know I know.. this is what I always hear: "we're still young its ok"; "I have a fast metabolism". But it's really not ok to be eating so inconsistently and unhealithly. Not to say that you have to give up all of your favorite foods.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;Time and time again.. the thing about college life is that its not very consistent,, one day you might be too busy to eat or have too many meetings and things to attend to. So we say its ok to skip meals. Unfortunately this doesn't really help us to lose weight or our health in the long run. It can actually contribute to us gaining more weight because we overeat at our next meal. I'm really excited. I have been keeping up with the two shakes a day, and taking 3 tablets a day and eating a filling meal at lunchtime. I really feel great. I will start kickboxing tomorrow, to add an extra kick to my diet, literally.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Personally, I have a major sweet tooth, so when I'm craving something sweet I just drink a peach mango drink. It is so yummy, and tasty. It also satisfies your hunger and its only 70 calories. It's one of my favorite drinks, I really recommend it .. just for the taste. I learned so much more on the nutritional aspects of the Formula one shake, and omega-3's and omega-6's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are just a few things that I have learned:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our bodys create &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;villi&lt;/span&gt; which are like the "doorman of our bodies" inviting the good nutrients and shoos away the bad bacteria. There an important part of our immune systems. It is what helps us with absorption of the things we put into our mouth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The ingredients that are present in the formula one shake are :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Glutamine&lt;/span&gt; - which feed the villi and are amino acids. that help build lean body weight. And there is about 12- 15 g present in formula one.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Arginine&lt;/span&gt; - this is also present in niteworks, and helps create more nitric oxide. which in turn prevents the hardening of the arteries.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Branched chain amino acids&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;After Dr. Luigi's presentation on formula one, he followed it up with a great Q &amp;amp; A. And he answered a lot of great questions including topics such as diabetes, children with autism, pregnancy.. and other topics as well. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Got to Fill those Kidneys&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Here's why. The kidneys cannot function properly without enough water. When they do not work to capacity, some of the load is dumped onto the liver. One of the liver’s primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy for the body. But if the liver has to do some of the kidney’s work, it cannot work at full throttle. As a result, it metabolizes less fat; more fat remains stored in the body and weight loss stops. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p style="font-weight: bold;" class="MsoNormal"&gt; &lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Shed Water with Water&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Drinking enough &lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204); font-weight: bold;"&gt;water is the best treatment for fluid retention.&lt;/span&gt; When the body gets less water, it perceives this a threat to survival and begins to hold on to every drop. Water is stored in extra cellular spaces (outside the cells). This shows up as swollen feet, hands and legs. Diuretics offer a temporary solution at best. They force out stored water along with some essential nutrients. Again, the body perceives a threat and will replace the lost water at the first opportunity. Thus, the condition quickly returns. The best way to overcome the problem of water retention is to give your body what it needs – plenty of water. Only then will stored water to be released. If you have a constant problem with water retention, excess salt may be to blame. But&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204); font-weight: bold;"&gt;getting rid of unneeded salt is easy – just drink more water.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;As it is forced through the kidneys, it takes away excess sodium.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt; The overweight person needs more water than the thin one. Larger people have larger metabolic loads. Since we know that water is the key to fat metabolism, it follows that the overweight person needs more water. &lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt; Water helps maintain proper muscle tone by giving muscles their natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration. It also helps prevent the sagging skin that usually follows weight loss. Shrinking cells are buoyed by water which plumps the skin and leaves it clear, health and resilient. &lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt; Water helps rid the body of waste. During weight loss, the body has a lot more waste to get rid of – all that metabolized fat must be shed. The body will not function properly without enough water and cannot metabolize stored fat efficiently. Retained water shows up as excess weight. To get rid of excess water you must drink more water. Drinking water is essential to weight loss. How much water is enough? On the average, a person should drink eight (8oz) glasses every day. However, the overweight person needs one additional glass for every 25 1bs of excess weight. The amount that you drink should be increased if you exercise or if the weather is hot and dry. To utilize water most efficiently during weight loss, follow this schedule: &lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--&gt; &lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Morning: &lt;/b&gt;One quart consumed over a thirty-minute period. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Noon: &lt;/b&gt;One quart consumed over a thirty-minute period.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Evening: &lt;/b&gt;One quart consumed in the early evening between 5:00 &amp;amp; 8:00pm&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt; When the body gets the water it needs to functions optimally, its fluids are perfectly balanced. When this happens you have reached &lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204); font-weight: bold;"&gt;the “breakthrough point”.&lt;/span&gt; What does this mean? &lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204); font-weight: bold;"&gt;Endocrine gland functions improves. Fluid retention is alleviated as stored water is lost. More fat is used to fuel because the liver is free to metabolize stored fat. Natural thirst returns. There is a loss of hunger almost over night. &lt;/span&gt;If you stop drinking enough water, your body fluids will be thrown out of balance again and you may experience fluid retention, unexplained weight gain and loss of thirst. They are a great way for people to get customers and build relationships. Most of them are community based where everyone walks from their homes to eat breakfast. Well not unknowingly but my parents would give me the shakes for breakfast, and gradually I learned how to swallow vitamins by practicing with M&amp;amp;M's. My childhood was a very interesting one, both my parents worked and owned their own chinese restuarant. I rarely saw my father, yes I do remember, and sometimes if I were lucky I would go to the restuarant too. Then my mother found Herbalife through my aunt, and she lost about 30 pounds or so, and at the time she also had Lupus. Then my dad got on the products and also lost about 30 pounds. That was it, my mom and dad quit the restaurant business and started working with Herbalife full-time. They worked from home, and eventually we moved into a bigger house, that my mom designed. As time went on, our success in Herbalife only got better. We would go on extravaganzas in Thailand, Taiwan, California, and even on a cruise ship. I was  a really lucky kid and I still am.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways, fast forward to 12 years and now I'm 18 years old and still eating the Herbalife products.
